Open-source ContextDB SDK.
The Apache-2.0 Python SDK provides portable memory and trust semantics for local or self-hosted use. ContextDB Cloud operates multi-tenant workflows, governance, and proof. The open-core boundary explains what stays portable and what Cloud operates.

Ownership matrix
Open the correctness model. Keep operated coordination private.
Public interfaces can be shared without publishing the service that coordinates tenants, workers, credentials, and guarantees. Existing Apache grants are permanent.

Safety and correctness are never plan-gated, weakened, time-limited, or made to phone home. Cloud must win by operating the open model, not by reducing what the SDK can do.

Run path
Start with the SDK. Use Cloud when operation is the job.
The SDK is the default path for local and self-hosted use. Cloud is the operated path for teams that want ContextDB to run the service layer. There is no availability SLA.
- RUN THE SDK
- You own storage, credentials, isolation, observability, upgrades, retention, and service operation. The memory and trust model stays available offline with no Cloud key.
- USE CLOUD
- ContextDB operates a hosted API, isolated projects, managed keys, asynchronous Formation, source workers, hosted Memory CI, decision logs, webhooks, and console workflows at the statuses on the status map.

Package availability does not imply hosted maturity.
The SDK is available. Formation, Memory CI, and Managed Sources remain scoped. Production operations and enterprise controls remain planned.

The Apache-2.0 Memory CI package is available from PyPI, with the pinned public Action prerelease. Distribution does not change hosted-service maturity.
